How to Choose your CCAs

In this section you will find instructions about how to use this Google Site.

You will also find the timeline for selecting your CCAs.

All of the Club CCAs that are available this term, from Monday 21st February until Friday 10th June, are listed here.

Please see Mr Papps and Mr Chow about Music and Sport CCAs, including start and end dates.

Each day in the list above shows of the Club CCAs available on that day, so click on the day in the bar at the top of this page and read through the CCAs that are open to your year group. You will see this beside the title of the CCA.

Once opened, you will see information about the CCA:

  • A description of the CCA

  • The teacher(s) running the CCA, the room number, where it will be held and the maximum number of students.

  • Objectives and opportunities the CCA will provide you, including competitions, events, final outcomes and so on.

  • Skills you will be working on.

We have increased the amount of information given to you, to allow you to make informed choices about which CCAs might be of interest to you.

This is a document for viewing information only. You will select CCAs on Schoolsbuddy, and information about how to do this will be sent on a separate document.

This is the timeline:

        1. Wednesday February 9th you can view the list only

            1. Start thinking about the CCAs you want to choose: you can talk to the teachers running them, perhaps chat with your friends and think about the skills and objectives that you want to gain, as well as the outcomes you want to achieve.

        2. Friday February 11th CCAs open on Schoolsbuddy (after school)

          1. You can now start selecting the CCAs that interest you.

      1. Monday 14th February CCAs choices close at midnight.

        1. You can no longer select CCAs on Schoolsbuddy.

        2. Tuesday February 15th to Friday February 18th all of the information is put into Schoolsbuddy

          1. You will recieve confirmation about whether you got onto the CCA.

          2. You then need to get your parents to book you onto a CCA bus (if you need one) for the rest of the term

        3. CCAs begin from Monday 21st February

Attendance will be taken so if you choose a CCA you must commit to attending.

Near the end of the CCA term there will be a student led exhibition, where students from every CCA will have a stall to showcase what they have worked on and achevied that term. We want you to showcase what you have done and also promote the CCA to students who may be thinking of choosing the CCA next year.
